GENERAL PISTOL (2 Days)
This class is designed to build on the basics
and your experience. It shows you how to safely and effectively own and use
a handgun. It will provide you with improved handgun shooting techniques
that will increase your accuracy and speed in short range situations.
- Safe gun handling for personal defense or
action sports
- Marksmanship for practical shooting
(competition or defense)
- The combat triad (combat mindset)
- Proper grip, stance, sight alignment,
sight picture, trigger control
- Safely drawing, loading, speed reloading,
unloading, malfunction clearance
- Malfunction identification and clearance
techniques
- Efficient reloading techniques
- Shooting positions

- Firearm disassembly and assembly
- Out to 25 yards on paper and steel targets

people who have taken the GENERAL PISTOL CLASS, which is a prerequisite,
and are interested in learning more and better shooting techniques for the
popular IPSC and competition 3-gun matches

GENERAL RIFLE (2 days)
This class introduces you to the fundamentals
for employing the AR .223 or the AK style semi-automatic rifles for personal
defense or competition from arms length out to 300 yards.

INTRODUCTION TO FIREARMS (1 day)
Introduction to Firearms teaches the basic safety, knowledge, skills, and
attitude necessary for owning and using rifles, pistols and shotguns.

firearms, rifle, pistol, and shotgun

Be familiar with
different types of ammunition used in rifles, pistols, and shotguns

Gain knowledge about the
types of shooting equipment and accessories

Learn firearms safety for
all firearms

understanding of marksmanship fundamentals for all firearms

Shoot a wide variety of
rifles, pistols, and shotguns
You will get to shoot a
.22 revolver and pistol, a 9mm, .40 caliber and .45 caliber pistol, a
semi-automatic .22 rifle and an AR15 (M16 type) rifle, and tactical
semi-automatic and pump 12 gauge shotguns. Other firearms that will be
available to shoot include: a .308 bolt action precision rifle, and M-1
Garand rifle, a 30-30 Winchester lever action rifle and a cowboy revolver.
Only provided ammunition will be allowed in my
firearms. You will be provided with 50 rds. .22 long rifle, 20 rds. 9mm
Ball, 20 rds. .40 caliber Ball, 20 rds. .45 caliber Ball, 20 rds. 5.5mm
Ball, for shotgun 25 rds. Birdshot, 5 rds. 00 Buckshot, and 5 rds. Slug.
Other ammunition or more ammunition will be available for a fee.
